Here is the new radio ad from Obama to be aired in Ohio.
Obama's energy conservation plan seems to already working. Americans are now consuming less oil and the markets demand for oil is easing. Today the price oil fell to $114/barrel down from a high of $144 dollar a barrel just one month ago that is a thirty dollar price drop in less than a month.
There is just something really sad about McCain these days. While Obama is working hard, travelling abroad, and talking about solving the problems we face with world leaders, McCain sits at home angry and bitter.
On Friday July 4th, Joshua Key, a US deserter, won his appeal to seek refugee status in Canada.
I am from the Province of Saskatchewan and I am afraid my newly elected Conservative Premier is ready to tear apart my province for dirty oil. The tar sands have not been developed here in Saskatchewan, but it soon will be if Premier Brad Wall has its way. To get this project going, Brad Wall is travelling around the North America saying that the oil sands are safe and green when in actuality this is not the case. This weekend Brad Wall and the Premier of Alberta, as puppets for big oil and met with Governors of the Western States to say that the Oil Sands is an environmentally friendly way to meet Americas energy crisis.
While Barack Obama was criticized by the media for perhaps speaking with the Canadian Government over NAFTA, and it should be noted that much of what was reported was either flat out untrue, or at best hearsay even though it was reported as fact, on Friday John McCain spoke at a $2000 dollar a plate luncheon in Ottawa declaring free trade is here to stay. For McCain, for some reason, this issue doesn't seem newsworthy like it was for Obama.
McCain's visit raises many questions about the purpose of his visit. I will talk about his reasons given, and reflect upon the real reasons for his visit and just who took out the time to fly across the country to see John McCain.
Looks like McCain held a secret meeting in Chicago with leaders of the Latino community. McCain may have more trouble connecting with the base of his party, by trying to appeal to Latino voters.
First of all, I will like to say Meet The Press is my favorite of the Sunday News Talk. It is the one show where I know guests have enough time to explain themselves and answer many questions. The questions often are specifics about policy and you could see how much a politician really know his/her stuff or whether they are just reciting talking points. Tim will never be replaced in the way that we will see another just like him. So perhaps it is time to have a replacement that will add a fresh face and a different stamp.
So who would be the best candidate to take over the program? I would like to see Rachel Maddow considered for the position of host of MTP. I will explain below the fold.
I say Welcome Jerome! I hope you can help mend some fences here. Thank you.
I will keep this diary short, but I've got a hunch here, I think Hillary may drop out tomorrow. I will explain my hunch after the fold.
When first this whole Pastor thing came up, the media hardly batted an eye. But yesterday, I had the television on CNN and I saw that they dedicated nearly an hour to McCain and his Pastors. In less than 24 hours McCain went on an all out on a Pastor rejection spree.
I know this title sounds strong, but remember how Rush Limbaugh encouraged his listeners to site riots on the streets of Denver during the Democratic Primary. I would say Hillary is encouraging something similar May 31st.
Hillary has a new reason why the Super Delegates should crown her the winner. And she sites the infomous Karl Rove for making the case why she should be the nominee. If Karl Rove is your last reason to stay in this race, isn't this reason enough to concede your loss and get out?
Looks like Hillary's people are prepared to tear the party apart, because their candidate is losing the Primary. They are going on Bill O'Reilly tonight to talk about Obama being sexist and saying that Obama is shutting Hillary out.
Being angry at NARAL is one thing, but this is just taking it to a whole new level that I have never seen in politics before.
Today the Pro-Choice Group Naral, endorsed Senator Barack Obama. This should be a good thing, this should help us women move forward looking towards the General Election, but I am saddened by my fellow women and their attacks towards Naral. I would like to encourage my fellow female Obama supporters to thank Naral for their courageous choice and let them know they did not commit the ultimate betrayal as some have said.
I just have to get a little peeve off my chest. Something that has been bothering me lately. We have been using the term low information voter to describe some of these voters that are easily swayed by flat wrong facts, or media distractions. This term is not fitting, just as the term, "friendly fire" is not fitting. There is nothing friendly about getting shot accidentally from your own side.
It is no secret that Ben is far more favorable towards his blogging about Hillary Clinton than he is about Barack Obama, but his latest post sure takes the cake! So much that I thought it is worthy of a diary here on Daily Kos.
Hillary wants Obama to be fully "vetted", and is providing material to the media about Obama and his associations with Ayers. But this leaves a real question, what association is more real, Obama having a relationship with someone who was once an anti-war radical that used bombs to get his message out, or Hillary who once worked for those radical organizations when Obama was a mere child?
